WhatsApp Rolls out WhatsApp Disappearing Messages and Money Transfer feature

WhatsApp has concluded plans to roll out a disappearing message feature, on their latest update for android and iPhone devices.

The disappearing message feature has long since been in development and beta testing for many months now and is finally rolling out globally to everyone.

Disappearing Messages:
The feature itself is quite simple. Once turned on in either a group chat or an individual chat, any messages sent henceforth will be deleted from the chat on both the phone and server-side, after a period of 7 days.

How to Turn On Disappearing Messages

When the WhatsApp disappearing Messages feature is turned on In individual chats, can be toggled by either participant and in group messages, only the group admins can toggle it.

  • Which can be easily be done with a tap on the contact or group name on the chat screen,
  • Finally select disappearing messages, and accept when prompted.

WhatsApp Payment

The WhatsApp Payment feature released around mid-June 2020, with WhatsApp pay users can easily and securely send and receive money through WhatsApp within your chat with family, friends, and businesses. The WhatsApp Payment, was first rolled out to Brazil, now it is rolling out to additional countries in the coming weeks.

To send money on WhatsApp payment, the user is required to have a bank account and debit card in in a supported country. WhatsApp sends instructions to banks, also known as payment service providers, that initiate the transfer of money via UPI between sender and receiver bank accounts.
