With the next iPhone 15 series, Apple is said to be planning to release wired EarPods with a USB Type-C connection. The Cupertino-based tech giant is already expecting to release iPhones with USB Type-C support in the future. Apple still sells wired earbuds that come with either a Lightning connection or an adapter for a 3.5mm headphone jack. But they haven’t been used as much as the tech giant’s portable AirPods, which came out in 2016.
Tweets from a trusted source, ShrimpApplePro, show that Apple has started making wired EarPods with USB Type-C connectors in large quantities. He also said that the business makes MFi USB Type-C connections. The source tweeted earlier that Foxconn has already started making lots of EarPods and USB Type-C cords.
Apple’s wired earbuds come with either a Lightning plug or a 3.5mm headphone jack adapter. They cost $19. Apple users are more interested in the portable AirPods, which came out in 2016. Now that Apple has made wired EarPods that connect via USB Type-C, Apple users will be able to plug the accessory straight into the next iPhones, which are also expected to have USB Type-C ports.
