You can be sure that any feature you see on Tiktok will also be on other social network platforms. Instagram users will soon be able to download instagram reel videos that other people post.
Even though TikTok has had this popular feature for some years now and got famous because people watched short videos with the app’s watermark outside of the platform. At least, it’s really helpful when cross-posting, like when you want to post a TikTok video to your Twitter or Instagram Story.
Adam Mosseri, the head of the company, said on his Instagram broadcast feed that U.S. users will be able to download Reels to their camera roll.
It’s important to keep in mind that only Reels from public accounts can be downloaded. Also, the ability to download Reels can be turned off for public accounts.
Mosseri didn’t say if the downloaded Reel will have a watermark, but the picture he shared shows that the Instagram logo and account name will be on the downloaded video.
How to Get Instagram Reel
Step 1: Open a Reel that you want to save.
Step 2: Click the Share button in the bottom right corner.
Step 3: Click “Download” at the bottom to save the movie to your camera roll.
If you don’t see these choices yet, you may need to update your Instagram app.
As we said, it’s already being used in the US, and we expect it to be used in more places over the next few weeks.
