ElevenLabs teams up with Rabbit to fuel voice control capabilities on its platform

ElevenLabs teams up with Rabbit to ignite voice command capabilities on its cutting-edge devices. The highly anticipated Rabbit r1 is primed to hit the market next month, following its stellar debut at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year.

Harnessing ElevenLabs’ innovative technology, the Rabbit r1 will empower users with seamless voice interaction and responses tailored to their commands. Initially available in English with a single voice option, ElevenLabs promises a remarkably human-like experience, thanks to its advanced low-latency models.

“Our collaboration with Rabbit is about propelling human-device interaction into the future. Together, we’re transforming the r1 into a dynamic co-pilot,” remarked ElevenLabs’ CEO, Mati Staniszewski.

In January, Rabbit announced its partnership with Perplexity AI to furnish users with insightful responses on the device.

The eagerly awaited $199 r1 devices are slated to leave the assembly line by March 31, promising users a plethora of features right out of the box. From engaging with chatbots to accessing Perplexity’s wealth of knowledge, enjoying bi-directional translation, ordering rides and meals, and grooving to music, Rabbit’s CEO, Jesse Lyu, confirmed the device’s multifaceted utility.

ElevenLabs, fresh off an $80 million Series B funding round, has been on a trajectory toward unicorn status. Specializing in voice cloning services for various applications like audiobooks, movie dubbing, advertisements, and gaming characters, the company has garnered attention from notable investors.

However, ElevenLabs has faced scrutiny for its technology’s potential misuse, prompting the startup to develop detection tools for synthesized audio and enhance its accountability measures.
