Something big just happened, while you were asleep Gionee Mobile unveiled it’s latest smartphone — The Gionee M2017, which leaked online earlier in November.

The Gionee M2017 is said to have two 3,500mAh batteries (A total battery size of 7,000mAh), designed to last nearly 26 hours of continuous video playback. Other amazing specs include 5.7-inch display sitting on 2560 x 1440, octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor, 6GB of Ram with dual rear camera lenses — 12MP sensor and 13MP sensor. This is paired with an 8MP front-facing camera, a fingerprint sensor, and an Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

The M2017 doesn’t come with two key features — the Micro SD card slot and the 3.5mm headphone jack. Yeah, Gionee has finally joined the no-headphone-jack-gang.

However, the price tag of Gionee M2017 will blow your mind coming in two versions, one has 128GB of onboard storage for Yuan 6999 (about $1,007) while the version with 256GB of storage is priced at Yuan 16,999 (about $2,446)!

But when you convert to Naira, at the rate of N400, you’d have to pay a massive N978,400 to get one of this machine.
