Airtel Nigeria is slowly releasing its 5G Network.

Airtel will launch its 5G network services within the next week. With the scheduled launch, more Nigerians will have access to 5G services in the country in the near future.

The telecommunications provider guarantees its subscribers speeds up to one hundred times quicker than 4G, ultra-low latency, and expanded network capacity.
This announcement comes six months after it purchased 100MHz of spectrum in the 3500MHz band and 2x5MHz of spectrum in the 2600MHz band for $316.7 million from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).

Airtel, which has 60 million subscribers in Nigeria and a market penetration of 27% as of April, stated that it would use the acquisition to enhance the quality of its 4G network and launch 5G. Additionally, in May, Airtel Nigeria renewed its 3G license, which now expires in 2032.

In a tweet, the telecommunications provider informed its customers that 5G would soon be available. Are you prepared for Airtel 5G?
